Learn about Race Walking and Power Walking as a way to get a good cardio workout. It’s convenient – you can do it anytime, and this weight bearing exercise is lower impact than running. Runners, if you are doing run/walk intervals, you can improve your race times with these speedier walking techniques.
Come to the seminar to learn what Race Walking and Power Walking is, an overview of techniques and training, and the footwear you need to get started. The seminar is on Tuesday, Sept. 27th from 7:00-8:30PM in On The Run. We’ll talk inside the store for an hour, and then have a short optional practice session outside, weather permitting.
Janet Jones will be instructing at the seminar. She won two National Championships in Race Walking for her age group at the National Senior Games in 2011.
